Yamaha Banshee Hybrid Billet Thermostat Head . The purpose ? It’s achieved a more consistent temperature and allowing the fluid flow rate to be a little bit slower so you can actually dissipate heat better. Cold motor start up and riding it to build heat are terrible for Forged Pistons. Also no temp control is as bad while trying to cool motor down. Which leads to less horsepower and premature O-Ring Failure.
